DURHAM, N.C. – Duke tight end Braxton Deaver and offensive guard Laken Tomlinson were named to the ESPN All-Bowl Team for their performances during Duke’s 52-48 loss to Texas A&M in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on New Year’s Eve. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder was also named to the ESPN ACC All-Bowl Team.

Deaver, a 6-5, 240-pound redshirt junior, logged the first 100-yard game of his career against the Aggies, finishing with six receptions for 116 yards. Five of those catches went for first downs and three went for more than 25 yards. Deaver finished the season as Duke’s second-leading receiver, posting 46 receptions for 600 yards and four touchdowns, all career highs.

Tomlinson, a 6-3, 320-pound redshirt junior, blocked for a Duke offense that amassed 661 total offensive yards, including 234 on the ground and 427 through the air. Duke outgained Texas A&M by 120 yards and surrendered just one sack despite throwing the ball a season-high 45 times.

Crowder, a 5-9, 175-pound junior, caught a career-high 12 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown reception that covered 59 yards. He set the ACC’s single-season receptions record in the win while also padding his school record for receiving yards in a season. Crowder led the ACC with 108 receptions on the year, finished second with 1,360 receiving yards and third with eight receiving touchdowns.

Duke and Florida State were the only ACC schools with multiple selections to the ESPN All-Bowl Team.
