Lam will lead off the competition in Division I men’s foil Friday, followed by Nollner in Division I men’s epee Saturday and Chung and Copti in Division I men’s saber Saturday.
All four of those fencers played starting roles in Duke’s season-opening competition at Penn State on Jan. 12. Lam, a freshman, led all Blue Devils with a 9-5 record in his season debut, while Nollner finished 8-4, Chung 6-6 and Copti 6-4. All four possess their A ranking by USA fencing, including Lam who owns his A13 rank.
Following the individual competition at the North American Cup, Duke will return to team competition at the Philadelphia Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25-26, in Philadelphia, Pa.
