Liston, who is out of River Forest, Ill., has burst on the national scene in 2013-14 as the 6-1 guard is averaging a career-best 18.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the third-ranked Blue Devils. Liston has totaled 14 games of 20 or more points, which ranks second in the ACC and is third nationally with a 48.9 three-point field goal percentage.
Her 18.5 scoring average ranks sixth in the ACC and is the highest for a Blue Devil since Alana Beard averaged 19.3 points in 2003-04. In ACC games, Liston is averaging 19.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while hitting 56.3 percent from the field and 50.9 percent from downtown. She ranks fifth in scoring, fourth in field goal percentage, eighth in free throw percentage (84.4), second in three-point field goal percentage (50.9) and tied third in three-point field goals made (2.6).
Earning Naismith accolades for the second straight year, Williams owns averages of 14.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals. The 6-3 center is coming off notching a career-high 28 points, seven rebounds, five blocks, two steals and two assists against 17th-ranked North Carolina on Monday.
One of the top shot-blockers in the nation, Williams leads the ACC with a 2.8 blocks per game average and is hitting a career-best 54.9 percent from the field, which ranks seventh in the league. Williams owns averages of 15.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals versus ACC opponents.
Duke will next host ninth-ranked Maryland on Monday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The game will be aired live on ESPN2.
