DURHAM, N.C. – Duke freshman and All-ACC first team selection Jabari Parker was named ACC Rookie of the Week for the record-tying 10th time after leading No. 4 Duke to a 93-81 win over No. 14 North Carolina Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium in the regular season finale.

Parker’s 10 ACC Rookie of the Week citations match Georgia Tech’s Kenny Anderson (1989-90) and North Carolina’s Tyler Hansbrough (2005-06) for the most such awards in league history.

A 6-8, 235-pound forward from Chicago, Ill., Parker logged a career-high 30 points and 11 rebounds in the win over the Tar Heels for his second double-double of the week. His 30 points against North Carolina were the most scored by any Duke freshman in the Tobacco Road rivalry, while his performance also marked only the eighth time a Mike Krzyzewski-coached player hit the 30-10 plateau in a game.

Parker also posted 19 points and 10 rebounds in Wednesday’s 82-72 loss at Wake Forest. For the week, he averaged 24.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting .607 (17-of-28) from the field, .400 (2-of-5) from three-point range and .813 (13-of-16) from the free throw line.

Also an All-America first team choice by Sporting News, Parker ranks second in the ACC in scoring and leads the league in rebounds and double-doubles (14). He will lead the third-seeded Blue Devils into their ACC quarterfinal matchup Friday at 9 p.m. in Greensboro Coliseum. Duke will play one of sixth-seeded Clemson, 11th-seeded Georgia Tech or 14th-seeded Boston College.
