DURHAM, N.C. – Duke field hockey head coach Pam Bustin has announced the program’s 2014 spring competition schedule, which includes contests at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30.
The Blue Devils open the spring by welcoming North Carolina, Old Dominion and Virginia for Duke Play Day Saturday in Durham. The squad will also host Wake Forest Sunday in a scrimmage before traveling to Old Dominion and William & Mary in early April. Duke will face nearby ACC opponent North Carolina in Chapel Hill Saturday, April 12 as part of the program’s annual Alumnae Weekend. This year’s Alumnae Weekend will be highlighted by the 10-year anniversary of the Blue Devils’ first trip to the NCAA national semifinals in 2003.
Under the guidance of Bustin and her staff, Duke will return 13 letterwinners and six starters from the 2013 Duke team that went 17-7 and finished NCAA national finalists.
