DURHAM, N.C. – Playing in its first tournament since claiming the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate team and individual titles, the third-ranked Duke women’s golf team will compete in the Bryan National Collegiate from March 28-30 at the Champions Course at Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center.
Along with the Blue Devils, Clemson, College of Charleston, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan State, Northwestern, North Carolina, N.C. State, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wake Forest will see action.
Each team will play 18 holes each day with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m., on Friday with a shotgun start, 8:20 a.m., on Saturday, following by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., on Sunday. The Champions Course will be playing a par 72 with 6,386 yardage.
Virginia is the reigning 2013 champion as the Cavaliers carded a three-day total of 869, while Georgia’s Emilie Burger won the individual title with a five-under-par, 211. The Blue Devils have won the Bryan National Collegiate team title seven times since the tournament started in 1998, including five straight wins from 2001-05.
The Blue Devils have won the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate and the Tar Heel Invitational this season, while Liu is coming off claiming her first collegiate victory at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
