DURHAM, N.C. – Graduate student Juliet Bottorff was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team, as announced by the organization Thursday. Bottorff receives the honor for the second time in her career.
A Markets and Management Studies major at Duke, Bottorff represented the ACC as one of three District III winners from the conference. In addition to Bottorff, North Carolina’s Sarah Howard and Virginia’s Barbara Strehler also garnered recognition.
A product of Newark, Del., Bottorff adds the accolade to numerous academic-related awards she has received during her time at Duke. Earlier this season, Bottorff was named ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while also receiving both an ACC Postgraduate Scholarship and an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. In 2012, Bottorff was named the ACC cross country Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Over her career, Bottorff was named to the All-ACC Academic team eight times between cross country and track and field.
