PINEHURST, N.C. –  Former Duke two-time All-America Brittany Lang carded a final round one-over-par, 71, Sunday on her way to placing tied 22nd overall at the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open, which was played at the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club’s Course No. 2 in the Village of Pinehurst, N.C.

Over the four days, Lang fired rounds of 73, 75, 69 and 71 for a 72-hole total of 288.  Lang, who is out of McKinney, Texas, turned in three birdies and an eagle on the par four third hole during her final round.  She held a one-under-par ledger with one hole remaining, but suffered a double-bogey to close the weekend with a 71.

Michelle Wie notched the first major victory of her career with a four-day total of 278, which was two strokes ahead of Stacy Lewis (280).
