FREIMAN HOMERS IN A's RETURN
Following a red-eye flight from Sacramento to Miami, Nate Freiman celebrated his return to the Oakland lineup with a towering three-run homer to help the A's complete a three-game sweep of the Marlins.
Freiman crushed the first pitch he saw fomr Marlins lefty Andrew Heaney for a go-ahead three-run shot.
"That was really fun," Freiman said, "That was really nice that they put me in there today, and I'm happy that I was able to help out. I was just making sure I was on time for a fastball."

STROMAN STRONG vs. A's
Marcus Stroman prooved yet again that he belongs in the Toronto Blue Jays rotation, pitching eight scoreless innings against the AL West leading Oakland Athletics. He limited the A's potent offense to three hits while striking out seven batters and doling out three walks. Despite Stroman's gem, Toronto fell 1-0 to Oakland, meaning Stroman was stuck with the no decision despite a dominating performance on the mound.
Stroman had recorded a quality start in all but one of his seven career MLB starts. He's been lights out over his past three, allowing just three earned runs over 21.2 innings, a span which includes 20 strikeouts and six walks.
"I feel comfortable," Stroman said. "I feel like I've gotten into a pretty good groove. Just trying to help the team win each and every start up here."
Stroman is set to take the mound Wednesday, July 9 (3:35 p.m. ET) against the Angels in Anaheim.
In 28 relief appearances for the Sox this year, Capuano was 1-1 with a 4.55 ERA before being designated for assignment and subsequently released.
In ten major league seasons with the Diamondbacks (2003), Brewers (2004-2010), Mets (2011), Dodgers (2012-2013) and Red Sox (2014), Capuano is the owner of a lifetime 74-84 record and 4.28 ERA. He will hope to crack a Rockies' rotation that has suffered injuries to Jordan Lyles, Tyler Chatwood, Brett Anderson, and most recently, Jhoulys Chacin.
