DURHAM, N.C. -- The latest addition to the Duke University Athletics facilities improvements was unveiled January 10, 2015 in a dedication ceremony for Kennedy Tower. The facility oversees Koskinen Stadium and Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium on the university’s West Campus, and is named for current Duke Senior Deputy Director of Athletics Chris Kennedy and his late wife Ana.

A longtime Duke athletics administrator, Chris and his late wife Ana have been members of the Duke family since the late 1970s. Chris has been directly involved with the both the men and women’s soccer and lacrosse programs as the lead administrator for the teams for many years. He was instrumental in beginning both women’s soccer and lacrosse and has seen the teams grow into national powers during his tenure.

Designed by CHA Sports, Kennedy Tower will serve both Koskinen Stadium and the Williams Track and Field complex and has come to fruition by the incredible generosity of a host of anonymous donors. The tower is 11,000 square feet and features a camera deck and press facilities facing both competition venues to support videography. In addition, the building will include a hospitality suite. The addition of Kennedy Tower will quickly make the homes of the Duke soccer, lacrosse and track and field teams first-class facilities.
