As a Team    
•    Duke improved to 31-4 on the season with the win, marking the 12th time Duke has reached 31 wins in a season under Mike Krzyzewski.
•    Duke moved to 47-9 (.839) when playing in the NCAA Tournament as a one seed and 101-34 (.748) overall in the NCAA Tournament.
•    Duke used the starting lineup of Quinn Cook, Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow, Matt Jones and Jahlil Okafor for the ninth time this season and own a 7-2 record with those five players on the floor to start the game.
•    Duke moved to 34-6 (.850) while playing in the state of North Carolina during NCAA Tournament play.
•    Duke scored under 70 points for the 28th time in an NCAA Tournament game and are 17-11 in such contests.

Coach Krzyzewski’s Numbers
•    The victory moved Coach Krzyzewski’s all-time record to 1,014-310 and his record at Duke to 941-251.
•    Coach Krzyzewski’s career record while in the NCAA Tournament moved to 84-26 (.764), the second-best winning percentage in NCAA Tournament history.

Cook on Duke’s All-Time Charts
•    Quinn Cook scored double-digit points for the 31st game this season after recording 15 points on 6-of-13 (.462) shooting from the field. Cook remained in 29th on Duke’s all-time scorers list, with a career 1,527 points.
•    Cook’s 3-of-8 (.375) shooting performance from beyond the arc extended his consecutive games with a made three-pointer streak to an ACC-leading 45. Cook’s 45 straight games with a made three-point field goal is a Duke record. Cook’s last game without at least one made three pointer came against Maryland on Feb. 15, 2014.
•    Cook moved into a tie for fourth with Cliff Hammonds of Clemson on the ACC’s consecutive games with a made three pointer list.

On the Offensive End
•    Duke led at half for the 29th time this season.
•    Duke shot 30-of-55 (.546) from the field. The Blue Devils are shooting a combined 64-of-99 (.646) from the floor in NCAA Tournament games this season.
•    Duke turned the ball over just twice in the first half, the second-fewest turnovers in the opening half of a game this season. Duke is 3-0 when committing two or fewer turnovers in the opening half of a game.
•    Duke attempted just two free throws, the fewest this season.

Duke’s Defense
•    San Diego State committed 11 turnovers, marking the 29th game this season Duke recorded 10 or more takeaways.
•    San Diego State shot just 2-of-13 (.154) from beyond the arc, tied for the fifth lowest shooting performance by a Duke opponent from beyond the three-point line this season.
•    Duke allowed San Diego State to score just 49 points, the fifth-fewest points scored by the Aztecs this season.

Fresh Faces
•    For the 34th game this season, three freshmen (Tyus Jones, Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow) started, marking the 69th time during the Coach Krzyzewski era three freshmen served as starters. The previous record for most games with three freshman starters in a season under Coach Krzyzewski stood at 27, during the 1982-83 season.
•    Okafor led the Blue Devils in scoring for the 14th time this season after netting 26 points on 12-of-16 (.750) shooting.
•    Over the last two games, Okafor is shooting a combined 21-of-27 (.778) from the field.
•    Justise Winslow recorded his sixth double-double of the season after scoring 13 points and bringing down 12 rebounds, tying him with Luol Deng and Shelden Williams for the fifth most double-doubles by a Duke freshman.
•    Winslow joined Grant Hill as the only other player in Duke history to record a double-double, while also registering five-or-more assists, three-or-more blocks, and three-or-more steals, in an NCAA Tournament game. The feat has only been achieved four times in program history.
•    Winslow also became the sixth player in Duke history to post 10-or-more points, 10-or-more rebounds and five-or-more assists in an NCAA Tournament game.
