Sean McNulty joined the Duke cross country and track & field coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August, 2015.
Prior to arriving at Duke, McNulty served as the Director of Operations and an assistant coach with the New Jersey New York Track Club during the 2014-15 season. Before joining the track club, McNulty held the positions of head cross country coach and assistant track & field coach at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Ky., from 2012-14, where he helped guide the squad to a 6AAA cross country regional championship. McNulty also enjoyed a successful career as a competitior, spending four years as a member of Kentucky's cross country and track & field programs.
In addition to his passion for cross country and track & field, McNulty also enjoys competing in triathlons. In 2008, McNulty captured the USA Triathlon Junior Sprint National Championship title on his way to earning All-America honors. McNulty owns a USATF Level I coaching certification and is a member of the USATF National Coaches Registry.
