DURHAM, N.C. - As Duke prepares for the postseason, Blue Devil Network and GoDuke.com will count down the top plays from the first 12 games of the 2015 season. The site will feature one highlight per day with the top play revealed on Saturday, December 26 when the Blue Devils (7-5) participate in the program’s fourth consecutive bowl game, meeting Indiana (6-6) in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
The No. 8 play on this year's countdown features senior wide receiver Max McCaffrey. With Duke and Virginia Tech tied 7-7, McCaffrey caught a 16-yard pass from Thomas Sirk to give the Blue Devils a 14-7 advantage at the end of the first quarter. McCaffrey finished the contest with six receptions for 94 yards and his second career multiple-touchdown performance as he hauled in a one-yard strike from Sirk earlier in the opening quarter.
In 12 games during the regular season, McCaffrey led Duke with 48 catches, 601 yards and five touchdowns. McCaffrey has six contests this season with 90 or more receiving yards.
