DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore linebacker Ben Humphreys has been a key factor for Duke this season, aligning the defense and analyzing the opposing offense before every snap. Humphreys played in all 13 games as a true freshman and is expected to lead the Blue Devils' unit during the 2016 campaign.

Coach David Cutcliffe’s Duke Football Show spoke with Humphreys about what his role is as a middle linebacker, what the expectations for him are during this season and his relationship with defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Cutcliffe discussed Humphreys' strengths, including his enthusiasm for the game. Senior cornerback Breon Borders and redshirt senior safety DeVon Edwards addressed how Humphreys is a vocal leader.

Duke (1-1, 0-1 ACC) will play its first road game of the season Saturday at Northwestern (0-2, 0-0 Big Ten). Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
