DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University’s Taylor Racioppi will return to action with United States soccer this month as the women’s soccer standout has received an invitation to train with the U.S. Under-23 women’s national team from March 26 through April 1 in Portland, Oregon.

Racioppi, a product of Ocean Township, N.J., decided to not purse a spot on the 2016 U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team this past fall and instead compete with the Blue Devils and stay on track academically.  She went on to play in only 11 matches due to an injury that forced her to miss the final 12 matches of the season.  Racioppi had three goals, five assists and 11 points when she was on the pitch.

The USA will participate in the Thorns Spring Invitational from March 26-April 1 in Portland, Oregon, taking on three NWSL teams at Providence Park.  Acting head coach B.J. Snow has named 22 players for the Portland segment.

The tournament in Portland will consist of three doubleheaders. The USA opens against the Houston Dash on Sunday, March 26 at 2:30 p.m. PT followed by Portland taking on the Chicago Red Stars at 8 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, March 29, Chicago takes on Houston at 8 p.m. ET and the USA will face the Thorns at 10:30 p.m. ET. The USA closes out the tournament against the Red Stars on Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. and Portland ends the tournament against Houston at 10:30 p.m. PT.

The USA’s match against the Thorns will be streamed online at www.thornsfc.com. The other two matches will be not available to watch online.

Tickets for the tournament are included in Thorns FC Annual Memberships. Individual tickets, which allow entry to both matches each day, start at $8 and are on sale online at www.thornsfc.com. Full tournament ticket packages, starting at $15, are also available for purchase online.
