DURHAM, N.C.—As the Duke men’s soccer spring season starts to wind down, Blue Devil Network caught up with rising senior Cameron Moseley and head coach John Kerr to talk about the spring season and the recent game with the local NASL team North Carolina FC.
The Blue Devils, training hard on and off the field since returning to campus in January, opened their spring slate Feb. 19 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the North American Soccer League. Duke played well, eventually falling to the professional side 2-0.
Duke continued their schedule with games at UNC Greensboro and Wake Forest on consecutive weekends and most recently traveled to take on North Carolina FC. Featuring former Blue Devil Christian Ibeagha at center back, Duke battled North Carolina FC well in a 1-0 setback.
The Blue Devils had quality scoring opportunities in both halves, but couldn’t quite find the back of the net.
A host of alumni returned to campus for the Duke’s annual Reunion Weekend festivities and partook in a friendly alumni game, proving that you can always come home.
Duke closes out their offseason campaign at NC State April 21 at 8 p.m. The Blue Devils welcome Guelph University from Canada Wednesday, April 26 at 9 a.m.
