DURHAM, N.C.- Only three days after arriving in Czech Republic and joining the AC Sparta Praha professional women's soccer club, Duke University alumna Lizzy Raben helped lead AC Sparta Praha to the Domestic Cup with a 2-0 win over Slavia Praha.
Raben, who graduated May 14 from Duke, started at center back for AC Sparta Praha and played the enter 90 minutes of action in the victory.
Raben, a native of Greenwood Village, Colo., was a key component of Duke's standout defense a year ago. She started all 23 matches and appeared in 1,812 minutes for the Blue Devils. Raben, CoSIDA Academic All-District III first team selection and All-ACC Academic team honoree, helped lead the Blue Devils to 38 shutouts in four years with the Blue Devils. She started 82-of-89 career matches and played a total of 6,964 minutes over her career.
