Blue Devils Head to Indy for Phillips 66 Nationals

DURHAM, N.C. – Seven Blue Devils are set to compete at the Phillips 66 National Championships and World Championship Trials this week at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

The five-day meet, which gets underway Tuesday and continues through Saturday, July 1, will serve as the selection event for the USA National Teams competing at the 2017 FINA World Championships, the 2017 World University Games and the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships.

Duke will feature rising juniors Maddie Hess and Max St. George, rising sophomores Kylie Jordan, Roger Kriegl and Alyssa Marsh and incoming freshman Adam Zimmer at this week's competition in Indianapolis.

Blue Devil alumna Ashley Twichell punched her ticket to the World Championships in the 5K and 10K open water events earlier this summer at the Open Water National Championships. She will also take to the water this week in Indianapolis in the 1500 freestyle.

Maddie Hess: 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke
Kylie Jordan: 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly
Roger Kriegl: 800 freestyle, 1500 freestyle
Alyssa Marsh: 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly
Max St. George: 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke
Ashley Twichell: 1500 freestyle
Adam Zimmer: 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke
