DURHAM, N.C. – Recent Duke University women’s soccer graduate Krysia Sikora has signed a professional contract with Medyk Konin of Poland.
Medyk Konin is the No. 1 team in Poland and has won the Polish League four years in a row. The squad has advanced to the qualifier rounds of the UEFA Champions League, which will be held in August.
Sikora competed with the Polish National Team in 2015 and helped lead the squad to the finals of the Balaton Cup. Over her four years at Duke, Sikora saw action in 70 matches, while registering one goal and one assist over a span of 1,210 minutes with the Blue Devils. She helped lead Duke to the 2015 NCAA College Cup and a total of 29 wins over her final two years.
Duke now features alumnae playing professionally in Czech Republic (Lizzy Raben), Amsterdam (Toni Payne) and Poland (Sikora). Christina Gibbons and Rebecca Moros are also playing in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) with FC Kansas City.
