Get to Know Boade –

What do you enjoy most about playing soccer?
The relationships I’ve built with all my different teammates and coaches throughout the years.  And of course getting nutmegs

What age did you start playing soccer?
Three years old

What are some of the strengths of your soccer game?
Combining with teammates to be dangerous and attacking minded.

When/why did you decide soccer was going to be your sport you concentrated on?
In middle school my club had a before school program that my coach suggested. Some of my teammates and I joined and when I realized I could play soccer instead of being at school I knew it was something I wanted to do.

What are you most looking forward to when you arrive on campus at Duke?
To be a part of such a fun and driven group of girls.  Also free meals on game day.

Who has had the greatest influence on your game?
There are really so many coaches that have impacted me but Jim Thomas, my regional ODP coach when I was 14, really made me realize how I could take my game to that next level. And Devin Barclay made me learn how much fun soccer really is.

What are you doing this summer?
My team just had ECNL Nationals in Illinois. Later in July I’m heading to a lake with my family. Other than that just enjoying hiking and hanging out in beautiful Colorado.
