CARY, N.C. – The Duke men’s tennis team concluded competition at the Duke James Bonk Invite today at the Cary Tennis Park with five singles wins and two draw titles.

Junior Jason Lapidus rounded out a successful weekend by taking his first collegiate career singles title in the B singles draw. Lapidus defeated Charlotte’s Sam Rice 6-4, 6-3.

Sophomore Spencer Furman also picked up a title today in the finals of the A1 bracket. Furman, the top-seeded player in the draw, defeated second-seeded Simon Soendegaard of North Carolina 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.

The Blue Devils will be back in action Sept. 30, traveling to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American.
