WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Sophomore Nick Stachowiak improved to 5-0 at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational with two Saturday victories. Stachowiak will play with classmate Spencer Furman in the A3 doubles flight championship and the A2 singles draw title Sunday.

Stachowiak and Furman, the No. 2 seed in the A3 draw, picked up a 6-0 sweep Saturday morning to move to the final. Furman suffered a 6-4, 7-6 (7) setback to Wake Forest’s Bar Botzer in the semifinals of the A1 flight while Stachowiak topped Enzo Wallart of Kentucky 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (3). To earn the victory, Stachowiak had to save double match point in the second set.
