Madeline Kopp joined the Duke track & field coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August of 2017 and works primarily with the sprinters.
Kopp was a five-time All-American performer for the Blue Devils and finished her career with top-five Duke marks in 16 different events, including school records in the 400 meters (indoor and outdoor), indoor 600 meters, 4x200 meter relay (indoor and outdoor), 4x400 meter relay (indoor and outdoor), and the outdoor 4x100 meter relay. The Rochester, N.Y. native earned three Second-Team All-American honors during her senior season in 2017, with those honors coming in the indoor and outdoor 800 as well as the outdoor 4x400 meter relay. She was named the Duke Track and Field track performer of the year as well as the most improved senior at the team banquet.
Kopp was a four-time Indoor and Outdoor All-ACC selection. She also made the Indoor ACC All-Academic team three times and the Outdoor ACC All-Academic team four times along with spending all four years on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
