With the Duke Loss

  • Dropped to 11-3 overall and 0-1 in ACC play
  • Is now 2-3 on the road this season
  • Moved to 6-1 all-time in games played on New Year’s Eve
  • Is now 14-3 all-time against Miami and 5-3 in games played in Coral Gables, Fla.
  • Fell to 12-3 against Miami head coach and Duke alumna Katie Meier
  • Coach P moved to 10-4 versus the Hurricanes
  • Is now 31-11 in ACC openers and 8-8 in true ACC road openers
  • Lost for the second straight game in Coral Gables, Fla.

 

Fifth-Year Senior Lexie Brown

  • Finished with a season-low 10 points
  • Limited to 3-of-12 shooting
  • Tied a career high with eight steals
  • Totaled a season-low four first half points
  • Broke a string of five consecutive games with 20+ points
  •  

Sophomore Leaonna Odom

  • Hit 5-of-10 field goals and had seven rebounds
  • Snapped a string of seven straight games without scoring double-digits as she finished with 12 points

 

Fifth-Year Senior Rebecca Greenwell

  • Moved into 10th place on Duke’s all-time scoring list with 1,622 points, passing Georgia Schweitzer (1,620)
  • Had four points, six rebounds and three steals in her return
  • Returned to the court, after missing the last four games with knee pain

 

Redshirt Sophomore Haley Gorecki

  • Tallied 16 points, three rebounds and three assists
  • Hit a team-best 2-of-5 three-point field goals
  • Collected double-digit scoring for the fifth straight game

 

Other Duke Notes

  • Held to a season-low 48 points and 34.5 percent shooting
  • Second straight game with 20+ turnovers as Duke finished with 22
  • The 26 points in the paint is the second-most allowed all season
  • Tied a season low with eight assists
  • Outrebounded, 37-35, for only the third time this year
  • Hit just 3-of-16 three-point field goals
  • Will next travel to third-ranked Louisville Thursday, Jan. 4 for a 7 p.m., tip live on ACC Network Extra.
