Edwin Molina has been working at Duke since November of 2017 and currently serves as the Information Technology Assistant for Duke Recreation and Physical Education.
Almost 20 years ago, Molina changed his career path as a Marine Biologist to run his own Information Technology consulting business. During his near 20 years career, he has focused on Customer Service and the implementation of new technologies. Molina has also worked for small local business, as well as international mega corporations, bringing the desire to integrate a personal touch with efficient processes. He has also served at educational institutions (such as the College of The Albemarle, in Elizabeth City, N.C.) and prior to joining Duke, worked for Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Myers, Florida where he provided IT Support for Staff and Deputies across the County.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Molina has lived most his adult life in many places, such as Texas, Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina. He enjoys meeting and talking to diverse group of people about his wife, his four kids, fish, underwater (mis)adventures, science fiction, IT funny/horror stories, painting miniatures, cyber-security and gadgets. He claims that he has finally settled down with his family in Durham.
