PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Duke men’s golf capped its trip to Florida for the Sea Best Invitational by wrapping up play with Tuesday’s third and final round.

Overall, Duke finished 12th of 14, the same rank they concluded Monday with after knocking out 36 holes.

As a unit, the Blue Devils posted a final round score of 296 (+16), pushing their overall score to 880 (+40).

Similar to yesterday’s action, sophomore Chandler Eaton led the way for Duke, carding a two-over 72 to move him to four over for the tournament. Eaton notched a birdie on No. 1, but would record back-to-back bogeys on 12 and 13, as well as another on 18.

"Overall, it was a challenge," Eaton said. "It was difficult to get back into a groove playing with other teams since we've only been qualifying recently. Moving forward, we're going to practice and play with more purpose and intensity. All it takes is one tournament. Play well, and your confidence is back. We're looking forward to the next one."

Freshman Adrien Pendaries managed to improve on his second round effort of 76 (+6), shooting a 74 (+4) to round out his event at seven over. It was an up-and-down day for Pendaries, intermixing bogeys and doubles with his trio of birdies.

Also shaving off a number of strokes from his second round was Evan Katz, who posted a four-over 74 in Tuesday’s finale. The freshman, who ended the tournament at +21, was able to nab a pair of birdies in his final round.

Junior Alex Smalley secured a quartet of birdies, including two on Nos. 1 and 2. However, four bogeys, a double and a quadruple left him with a six-over 76, and a score of nine over for the tournament.

Senior Adam Wood shot an 80 (+10) in his final round, pushing his overall score to 26 over. Wood’s lone birdie came on the par 4 No. 3.

Individual Qi wen Wong garnered three birdies, but was unable to fend off four bogeys and three doubles. On the day, Wong finished with a 77 (+7) and an overall mark of 20 over par.
