DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University men’s soccer head coach John Kerr welcomes the additions of Kevin Feucht and Sivert Daehlie to the 2018 Blue Devil squad. Feucht comes to Durham after a successful career at UC Santa Barbara, while Daehlie joins the team from Radford.

A midfielder and captain for the Gauchos, Feucht missed the entire 2017 season due to injury, leaving him one year of eligibility remaining. In his two years at UC Santa Barbara, he started all 42 games and tallied 17 goals and four assists for 38 points. He was a two-time All-Big West first team choice and was named the Big West Midfielder of the Year in 2016 after a breakout season of 11 goals and two assists. In addition, he was a NSCAA Far West All-Region second team selection in 2015 and third team honoree in 2016.

Prior to joining UC Santa Barbara, Feucht played one season for Division II University of Charleston. As a freshman, Feucht started 20 games and registered seven goals and three assists to help lead the Golden Eagles to the NCAA Division II Championship game. He finished the year as an All-Mountain East Conference first team selection.

Daehlie, a forward, was one of Radford’s top goal scorers in each of his three seasons, recording 30 goals in his 50 games played. Hailing from Holter, Norway, the veteran striker was the Big South Freshman of the Year in 2015 when he ranked second in the league in goals with 13. He was a two-time All-Big South first team selection, while his 30 career goals rank seventh in Radford history. His 70 points are eighth overall.

He comes from Norwegian cross country skiing royalty as his dad Bjorn Daehlie is a six-time Nordic World Cup champion and won 29 Olympic and World Championship medals.

Feucht and Daehlie are a part of a talented incoming class ranked sixth most recently by Top Drawer Soccer. In addition to these two veterans, Duke welcomes a talented group of seven freshmen.
