PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Competition at the 2018 Riviera/ITA All-American Championship continued Wednesday in Pacific Palisades, Calif., as Duke women's tennis junior Meible Chi advanced to the main draw of singles competition.
Chi continued her strong start in California today by besting Alabama's Andie Daniell (6-1, 6-1) to qualify for the main draw. The Weston, Fla., native will face Carly Touly of Florida State.
Chi will return to the court to team up with senior Kaitlyn McCarthy in the first round of the doubles main draw and will take on UCLA's Elysia Bolton and Jada Hart.
Chen and Mateas will both compete alongside Chi in the singles main draw as Chen will play Guilia Pairone (Michigan) while Mateas will take on Sara Castellano (Wisconsin).
