DURHAM, N.C.– Fans traveling to the Duke University West Campus on Saturday, January 19th should be aware of the following parking alerts for ESPN College Game Day in Cameron Indoor Stadium at 11:00 AM and for Duke Men’s Basketball versus Virginia in Cameron Indoor Stadium at 6:05 PM. Please review the information below and leave extra time in your travels to avoid delays.  

 

 

ESPN COLLEGE GAME DAY PARKING INFORMATION

 

General Public Parking for College Game Day – ESPN College GameDay is free and open to the general public. Doors will open at 9:30 AM and entry for the general public will be through the upper level doors of Cameron Indoor Stadium (South Hall of Honor entrance off of Whitford Drive and through the Duke Basketball Museum next to Krzyzewskiville). All non-Iron Duke permit holders should park in the General Public parking lots on Circuit Drive. Parking will be free of charge from 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. After 11:00 AM there will be a $10, CASH ONLY charge to park in the Circuit Lots. A free courtesy shuttle will be provided from the Circuit Lots to Cameron in a constant loop from 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday. The drop off and pick-up location near Cameron will be at the Law School bus stop on Science Drive.

General Public Accessible Parking for Guests with Disabilities for College Game Day – General Public accessible parking for guests with disabilities for College Game Day will be available in the Blue Zone off of Towerview Road in Blue Zone Lot #5. Please inform the parking attendant that you require parking for persons with disabilities to access the parking area. There will be no charge to park from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. After 11:00 AM there will be a $10, CASH ONLY charge to park.An ADA Lift equipped van will begin operation at 7:00 AM. The drop-off and pick-up location for the ADA Lift equipped van is located on the south side of Cameron Indoor Stadium at the Whitford Drive Circle. Guests requesting accessible seating should enter Cameron Indoor Stadium via Rubenstein Pavilion on the lower level. Staff will be available to assist guests to accessible seating locations.

Iron Duke Parking for College Game Day – Iron Duke Men’s Basketball parking operations will operate normally for fans with a Men’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass. The Iron Duke parking lots will open on campus at 7:00 AM. Men’s Basketball Iron Duke parking passes must be displayed for access to the lots.

Iron Duke Accessible Parking for College Game Day – Iron Duke Men’s Basketball parking operations for guests with disabilities will operate normally for with a Men’s Basketball Iron Duke Parking pass for the Whitford Drive Lot, Science Drive Visitors’ Lot and designated portions of Science Drive Garage. All lots open at 7:00 AM. An ADA Lift equipped vans will begin operation at 7:00 AM. Shuttles for guests with mobility impairments will begin operation at 8:30 AM and run until 1:00 PM.

DUKE MEN’S BASKETBALL TRAFFIC ALERTS

 

Men’s Basketball Traffic Checkpoints– For all Duke Men’s Basketball home games, checkpoints are set-up on the roads surrounding campus to keep only necessary traffic on the interior roads of campus.  Checkpoints will become active on Saturday, January 19that 4:00 PM.  All Iron Duke Parking Permit Holders must have their Iron Duke Parking Permit hanging from their rearview mirror as they approach for access at these checkpoints and their designated lots.  Checkpoints are located at the following intersections:

  • Intersection of Science Drive and NC 751/Cameron Blvd.
  • Intersection of Towerview Road and Circuit Drive
  • Towerview Drive Traffic Circle


DUKE MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME PARKING INFORMATION

 

Iron Duke Parking for Men’s Basketball Game – Iron Duke Men’s Basketball parking operations will operate normally for fans with a Men’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass.  All Iron Duke Lots will remain open after College Game Day with full game day service beginning at 3:00 PM. Men’s Basketball Iron Duke parking passes must be displayed for access to the lots.

Iron Duke Accessible Parking for Men’s Basketball Game – Iron Duke Men’s Basketball parking operations for persons with disabilities is available in the Whitford Drive Lot, Science Drive Visitors’ Lot and Science Drive Garage (Level 6).The Whitford Drive Lot, Science Drive Visitors’ Lot, and Science Drive Garage will remain open after College Game Day with full game day service beginning at 3:00 PM.  Shuttles for Persons with Mobility Impairments and ADA Lift equipped vans will begin full operations at 3:00 PM and run until one (1) hour post-game all of those lots.  An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is located at the Science Drive Visitors’ Lot. To access the drop-off and pick-up point, see the attendant located at the entrance to the Science Drive Visitors’.

General Public Parking for Men’s Basketball Game– General Public parking for Men’s Basketball is located in the Small and Large Circuit Lots on Circuit Drive. General Public Lots will remain open after College Game Day and the Large Circuit Lot will open at 4:00 PM for game parking. There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY.

General Public Accessible Parking for Men’s Basketball Game – General Public accessible parking for guests with disabilities for Men’s Basketball is available in Blue Zone 5 on Wannamaker Drive off of Towerview Road. Towerview Road can be accessed via Duke University Road. There is a $10.00 charge to park - CASH ONLY. Accessible parking will remain open after College Game Day with full game day service beginning at 3:00 PM. 

 

Accessible lift-equipped van service will be available for transportation from the shuttle drop-off/pick-up points in the Blue Zone at the Wilson Gate of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium to the Krzyzewskiville sign on the north side of Cameron Indoor Stadium. This accessible lift-equipped van service will be available throughout the day following College Game Day – please speak to the parking attendant for assistance. An accessible pedestrian route to Cameron Indoor Stadium is also available by following the sidewalk around Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium to the Bostock Gate and Tribull Plaza. 

 

An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is available outside the Wilson Gate of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.  Guests should use the accessible lift-equipped van for transportation to the stadium.  After drop-off, guests must park in a General Public parking lot. Post-game access to the accessible drop-off and pick-up point in the Blue Zone is permitted via Towerview Road from Duke University Road.
