STATESBORO, Ga. – Junior Steven DiLisio went wire-to-wire at the Georgia Southern Collegiate, leading the tournament by four strokes after 36 holes and completing the victory on Monday for his first collegiate medalist honor.

DiLisio carded rounds of 66 and 67 on Sunday, and posted a 75 on Monday to hold off the field by two strokes. His eight-under, 208 matched his career-low 54-hole total, while his 66 on Sunday also matched his career-best round.

The event, hosted by Georgia Southern at the par-72 Georgia Southern GC, was scored individually, with no team scoring. DiLisio held off Georgia Southern’s Jake Maples, who shot a 67 on Monday and finished at six-under, 210. Three other golfers posted a five-under 211.

Freshman Quinn Riley was Duke’s next finisher in a tie for 11th. He followed his opening-round 76 with a pair of two-under 70’s in the second and third rounds to post an even-par, 216.

Junior Harrison Taee was tied for 25th (+7), with senior Shrish Dwivedi in a tie for 28th (+8), sophomore Drew Powell in a tie for 47th (+13) and sophomore Qi wen Wong in a tie for 54th (+15).

No. 2 Duke heads to Hawai’i for its first team event of the spring season, Feb. 21-23, at the John Burns Collegiate in Lihue.
