DURHAM, N.C. – The No. 20 Duke rowing team is set to travel to Camden, N.J., Sunday to compete in the Cooper Sprints starting at 8 a.m.
Duke is coming off a first-place finish at the Carolina Cup on March 9, where the Blue Devils registered 90 points for their third straight Daughtry Cup. All five boats took first-place for Duke, headlined by the 2V4 crew of Sarah Royka, Kiernan Spencer, Amelia Johnson, Maya Blake and Amelia Shunk, who earned ACC Crew of the Week for their first-place time of 7:58.2.
“The team has trained relentlessly since the Carolina Cup,” said head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno. “We have been to this race in the past few years, but we’re excited to see another race course and practice executing against some great teams. It’s all about racing and our women our excited to line-up.”
After this weekend, Duke will head to Charlottesville, Va., to compete in the Big-Ten ACC Dual Saturday, April 6.
