SYLVANIA, Ohio – After carding rounds of 72 and 70 in the first two rounds of the LPGA Marathon Classic, Duke University incoming freshman Erica Shepherd is the lone amateur to make the cut at the Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio.

After opening with 144 golfers, the list has been trimmed to 77 heading into the weekend.

Shepherd, a product of Greenwood, Ind., turned in five birdies in round two on her way to posting a two-under, 70, in the second round. She collected three birdies over a span of five holes on the front nine on holes No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5.

Sei Young Kim leads the individual action with rounds of 67 and 64 for an 11-under ledger.

Fans can follow the action via Golf Channel July 13-14 from 6-8 p.m. All play will be tape delayed.

Shepherd will begin play Saturday at 8:05 a.m., in the third round. Recent Duke graduate Virginia Elena Carta missed the cut with rounds of 72 and 76.
