LANCASTER, Pa.-Duke kicked off the weekend on the right foot by winning seven of 10 bouts to post a 24-12 victory over host Franklin & Marshall at the NWCA Dual Festival in Lancaster, Pa. The Blue Devils earned major decisions by Peter Terrezza (125), Brandon Gambucci (133) and Marcus Cain (149) and picked up decisions at 157, 165, 174 and heavyweight.

Starting at 125 pounds, Terrezza raced out to a 6-0 lead after three minutes. The redshirt senior continued to dominate the bout, adding seven more points over the next two periods to blank Aaron Moldoff 13-0 for his seventh win of the campaign.

Gambucci, Duke's dual points leader, quickly put Duke ahead 8-0 with a 20-6 major decision over Robert Ruiz. The Mansfield, Ohio native built a 10-1 advantage after two periods before adding nine more points in the third for his third major decision of the season and 16th victory overall.

The Diplomats grabbed three points with a 3-0 decision by No. 18 Richard Durso at 141 pounds before Cain scored a 12-1 major decision from 149 pounds. Cain, 22-8 overall in his redshirt freshman season, controlled the bout from the opening whistle to earn his 13th dual win and push his points total to 47 for dual matches for the Blue Devils.

Duke made it four consecutive as Immanuel Kerr-Brown resumed his winning ways with a 9-3 triumph over Eric Norgard at 157 pounds. Kerr-Brown, tied 3-3 after the first period, shut down Norgard in the final four minutes to earn the decision.

Fresh off of an upset at NC State, sophomore Randy Roden captured a 7-1 decision at 165 to stretch Duke's lead to 21-3 with four matches remaining. Roden led 4-1 after three minutes and then added another takedown in the final 30 seconds to ice the victory.

A winner in eight of previous 10 matches, redshirt freshman Trey Adamson picked up right where he left off against NC State with a 3-0 decision over Colin Gironda. Scoreless after one period, Adamson escaped 14 seconds into the second for a 1-0 lead, but was unable to score again. With just a 1-0 lead heading into the final session, the Riverton, Utah native scored a crucial takedown with 45 seconds left to post his 19th win of the season and 12 dual victory.

Junior Brian Self rounded out Duke's winners as he closed the match with a 2-1 victory. Self, unable to score in the first period, escaped five seconds into the second session for the 1-0 lead. Unable to score again, the heavyweight rode strong to start the third and built up over a minute of riding time before Kerkesner escaped to earn the riding time bonus point and his 12th win of the year.

Duke next competes in the ACC Championships March 9 in College Park, Md. The championships will be broadcast by ESPN3.
