PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLA. – The ninth-ranked Duke men’s golf team posted a second place finish in the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational, as the final round of the tournament at Sawgrass Country Club was cancelled Tuesday due to inclement weather in the area. The Blue Devils finished the 36-hole tournament with a five-under 571, 12 shots behind the winner and host North Florida.

North Florida (-17) and Duke (-5) are the only schools to finish the tournament with an under-par score. Central Florida finished in third-place with a nine-over 585, while Arkansas, North Texas, Florida and LSU finished tied for fourth place at 11-over par.

Kevin Phelan (North Florida) earned the title of the tournament with a 13-under 131, while Duke’s Brinson Paolini and Austin Cody along with Central Florida's Ricardo Gouveia tied for third at four-under (140).
