MARSHALL, Minn. -- Over the first three weeks of Brennan Besser’s Walk On America initiative, the Duke basketball senior has stopped in more than 20 towns and cities and biked more than 1,300 miles.

He's held basketball clinics with participants and organizations that support the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) community in Seattle, Spokane, Helena, Missoula and Pierre. Besser has received a warm welcome in every community, including a meet-and-greet with Montana's Governor Bullock and Lt. Governor Cooney at the state capitol.

Besser is getting support from notable folks along the way, including talking with Andy Katz here on NCAA's @MarchMadness handle and CBS Survivor host Jeff Probst supporting the effort.

The next couple weeks will see Besser bike through Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, making stops at community centers and events in Minneapolis, Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago. He began May 16 in Seattle and the trek is scheduled to wrap up in New York City in late July.
