Chandler, Ariz. – Former Blue Devil and member of the 2017 ACC Champion team, Matt Oshrine will be gearing up to compete in the final stage of the Web.com Q School on Thursday, December 7.

With action slated to run through December 10, Oshrine will open up play at the Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass (6,725 yards, par 72) in Chandler, Ariz.

Each round (Thursday-Sunday) is set to begin at 8:20 a.m. MST and for the opening round, Oshrine will tee off at 10:21 a.m. with Edward Loar and Seth Fair.

Oshrine is coming off a second stage effort in Dothan, Ala. from October 31-November 3 that was highlighted by an eleven-under 61 in the third round which helped vault the Baltimore, Md. native into contention.

A 71 (R1), 75 (R2) and 74 (R4) wrapped up a 282 (-6) week for Oshrine, preparing him for tomorrow’s final stage.

“I’m excited for the chance to compete this week in my first event as a pro," said Oshrine. "It’s been fun to exclusively work on my game this fall and I’ve definitely seen some improvements. Additionally, It’s been great to have Coach Green out here with me the past few days and on the bag this week. It’s been easy to stay in rhythm, pick the right shots, and analyze these courses thus far because of how well he knows my game. I’m looking forward for that to continue and for a successful week.”

Not straying far from his collegiate golf roots, Oshrine requested the caddie services of Duke head coach Jamie Green for the event.

“Matt’s game is so solid right now from the tee to the hole. It’s great to see him swinging well and in total command of hitting the shots he’s picturing,” Green said. “It’s a terrific environment for him to be in after a few months of being able to play and work on his game full-time, while completely healthy. Although he played really well for us at Duke, he had to play through a few nagging injuries while in college, and so it’s nice that he’s firing on all cylinders now.

With current Blue Devil golfers focused on final exams, the opportunity was timely for both Oshrine and Green.

"It’s really special for me to be on the bag for him for this many days in a row," Green said. "With our players back home in ‘full-on-exam-mode’, and since NCAA rules don’t allow coaches to work with players right before exams or during the exam period,  it was a perfect time for me to get out here and spend this time with Matt.”
