With the Duke Victory

  • Improved to 13-4 overall and 2-2 in ACC play
  • Snapped a three-game losing streak on the road and improved to 3-4 on the year on the road
  • Moved to 65-17 all-time against Wake Forest
  • Is now 27-9 in games played at Wake Forest
  • Coach P improved to 17-2 all-time against the Demon Deacons


Fifth-Year Senior Rebecca Greenwell

  • Tallied a season-high 23 points as she hit 7-of-11 field goals and 3-of-5 treys
  • After scoring 11 points over her final three games combined, had 12 points by the 7:41 mark of the second quarter
  • Drained a three-pointer as the first quarter closed to tie the Duke school record of 252 held by Tricia Liston. She hit two other three-pointers in the second quarter to register the school record.
  • Notched her 28th career game with 20 or more points
  • Came off the bench for only the second time in her career
  • Pulled down a team-high eight rebounds


Fifth-Year Senior Lexie Brown

  • Tallied a game-high 27 points, while hitting 8-of-13 field goals and 4-of-5 treys
  • Has scored 61 points over the last two games
  • Needs only 24 more points to reach 1,000 career points at Duke
  • Collected a game-high 18 first half points as she hit 6-of-9 field goals and 4-of-5 treys
  • Notched 20 or more points for the eighth time this season and 25th time at Duke
  • Pulled down seven rebounds and added three assists and two steals


Redshirt Sophomore Haley Gorecki

  • Snapped a streak of scoring double-digits in seven straight games
  • Had five points, a career-high seven assists and had three steals


Freshman Jade Williams

  • Notched six points, three rebounds and two blocked shots
  • Started for her second straight game


Other Duke Notes

  • With its 80 points, snapped a streak of six straight contests being held to under 70 points
  • Was outrebounded, 37-33, for the fourth straight game
  • Brown/Greenwell combined to score 30 of Duke’s 43 first half points and finished with 50 points
  • Defense held its opponent to under 70 points for the ninth straight game (67)
  • Broke a streak of six straight games without scoring 70 points (80)
  • Won its 22nd consecutive game scoring 70 or more points
  • Hit 19-of-20 free throws (95.0%)
  • Hit only 1-of-5 field goals in the fourth quarter, but also hit 15-of-16 free throws
  • Will return home to host Virginia Sunday, Jan. 14 at 3:02 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The game will be aired live on ESPN2.
