DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke University men’s soccer staff will host an open training session for coaches of all levels, Monday April 2 as a part of the United Soccer Coaches Association Open Training Week. The session begins at 8:30 a.m. and will run for two hours at the 751 practice fields in Durham.

Coaches can register through Sunday, April 1 at http://UnitedSoccerCoaches.org/training. The 751 field are directly off of Cameron Blvd, and a large gravel lot is next to it for parking. The fields are down the road from the Washington Duke Inn.

This nationwide initiative provides an opportunity for coaches from all levels and backgrounds to experience new environments, observe high-level training sessions, and learn from one another. Men’s and women’s teams at the college and professional levels welcome local soccer coaches in their communities to attend a practice.

The Blue Devils are in the middle of their spring campaign, having played Virginia and Wake Forest already with a trip to Clemson coming up next Saturday. Duke, under the direction of head coach John Kerr, along with associate head coach Michael Brady and assistant coach Chris Rich, is coming off of arguably its best season under the staff’s tenure. The Blue Devils advanced to the NCAA third round before falling in heartbreaking fashion in penalty kicks.
