DURHAM, N.C. – Year 32 of Duke women’s soccer will showcase several contests in the national spotlight, as the Blue Devils will have six matches featured on the ACC Network, which debuts Aug. 22, 2019.
Of the six contests, three are slated to be played at the friendly confines of Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils make Duke’s ACC Network debut on Wednesday, Aug. 28, as they host Georgetown at 7 p.m. ET, in a rematch from last year’s NCAA Round of 16. Duke will then play host to NC State on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m., before playing perhaps its biggest match of the 2019 campaign on the national stage, as it welcomes rival North Carolina to the Bull City for a Thursday, Oct. 10 showdown, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
Duke’s three other ACC Network matches will come on the road, starting with a Sunday, Sept. 29 showdown at Virginia (2 p.m.). The Blue Devils will also take on Virginia Tech (Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.) and defending national champions Florida State (Thursday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m.) to close out its ACC Network coverage for the 2019 regular season.
ACC Network (ACCN) the new, 24/7 national platform launching on August 22, 2019, will elevate the ACC’s field hockey, women’s soccer and volleyball programs with unprecedented national television coverage this fall.
ACCN will exclusively televise 62 field hockey, women’s soccer and volleyball games in its debut year – representing a 90 percent increase in the number of ACC women’s events available on an ESPN linear network over last year and the most live, national coverage of ACC women’s fall sports ever.
