DURHAM, N.C. – After helping Duke to its first Super Regional appearance in program history, senior utility player Jack Labosky collected his second All-America honor Wednesday, earning a spot on the Perfect Game/Rawlings College All-American Third Team.

Labosky, a 22nd round pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft, also picked up Baseball America All-America Third Team honors to become the 11th All-American in Duke history and the first since current Toronto Blue Jay Marcus Stroman in 2012.

In addition to starting every game at third base this season, Labosky took the mound for 26 relief appearances as the Blue Devils’ primary closer. Named to the 2018 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List, he allowed five earned runs in 40.2 innings, posting a 3-0 record, 1.11 ERA and 10 saves. A 2018 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year semifinalist, Labosky totaled 12 doubles, seven home runs and 10 stolen bases.

A two-time All-ACC pick, Labosky goes down as one of the top Blue Devils in program history. In addition to holding the program career record with 18 saves, Labosky ranks among Duke’s top 25 in 10 career categories: games played (15th / 211), games started (15th / 204), at bats (20th / 710), doubles (11th / 50), home runs (14th/ 21) RBI (12th / 139), walks (4th / 139), HBPs (2nd / 46), saves (1st / 18) and pitching appearances (7th / 84).
