DURHAM, N.C. – Duke placed a league-high nine players on the 2018 All-ACC Academic Team as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Graduate student Ethan DeCaster, senior Ryan Day, juniors Jimmy Herron, Zack Kone and Chris Proctor, sophomore Adam Laskey, and freshmen Matt Dockman, Bryce Jarvis and Joey Loperfido represented the Blue Devils on the 2018 list.

Kone is one of three 2018 All-ACC Academic Team honorees to earn the distinction three or more times, joining NC State’s Brian Brown and Brett Kinneman. Day and Herron garnered the accolade for the second time in their respective careers.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
