Fall 2013: Member of the 2V8 that placed 24th out of 52 entries at the Princeton Chase.
2012-13: An ACC Academic Honor Roll selection...rowed with the 2V8 that placed fourth at the ACC Championships...member of the 2V8 that logged the third-fastest time in school history, doing so at the Clemson Invitational with a time of 6:43.3...rowed in the 2V8 that advanced to the Petite Final of the Jessop-Whittier Cup...helped the 2V8 capture two second-place finishes at the Cardinal Invitational.
Prep: Two-year letterwinner at Lick-Wilmerding in San Fransisco, Calif....rowed with the Pacific Rowing Club in San Fransisco...received the PRC Hammer Award for the fastest 2K in 2011...made it to the PRC All-Time Fitness Board as a novice...played basketball for the AAU Club Team, Mission Recreation Center, from 2002-10...lettered four years in basketball at Lick-Wilmerding and captained the team as a senior...received the coach’s award as a junior and senior... ran varsity track and cross country as a freshman and sophomore...ran in the Nike Women’s Full Marathon in 201 and the San Jose Half Marathon in 2007...served as president of the student body...in the process of self-publishing a book in honor of AAU girl’s basketball coach Oscar Jiminez, who died at age 57 in 2010 of complications from lymphoma.
Personal: Born Kaila Marie Perez on Jan. 6, 1994...daughter of Patrick Perez and Sharon Perez, and Gail Gonzalez Coloyan and Victor Coloyan...has a brother, Izaiah, and three sisters, Kaya, Karisma and Kirana.
