DURHAM, N.C.-Three Duke University men's lacrosse players earned spots  on the 2012 All-ACC Men's Lacrosse Team as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Seniors CJ Costabile and Robert Rotanz and sophomore Jordan Wolf all landed spots on the 11-player team as determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.

Costabile and Wolf collect their second consecutive All-ACC honors, while Rotanz earns his first All-ACC award. Maryland led all schools with four selections, while Duke and Virginia had three and North Carolina earned one spot.

A longstick midfielder, Costabile has anchored Duke's faceoff game again this season. He has won 54 percent of his faceoffs (98-of-180) and leads the ACC and ranks seventh nationally in ground balls with 93 (6.6/gm). Costabile is equally as dangerous on offense and defense. The New Fairfield, Conn., native has four goals and three assists for seven points and ranks second on the team with 16 caused turnovers. He has picked up at least five ground balls in a game 12 times and has nine or more in four games, including a season-high 11 pickups in the win over Marist.

A three-time All-America selection, Costabile currently leads all active long poles in career scoring with 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points. His 325 career ground balls rank second at Duke in the previous 20 years and are second among active Division I players.

Wolf, an attackman, has helped pace the Blue Devils' attack this season with 26 goals and 24 assists for 50 points. He is one point shy of matching his rookie points total and has at least one point in all 14 games this season. Wolf owns three hat tricks on the year and nine for his career and has registered at least three points in 19 of his 34 career games. Against ACC opponents this season, the Wynnewood, Pa., native scored four goals and handed out eight assists for 12 points to help Duke to its eighth ACC regular season title. He is the first Blue Devil to earn All-ACC recognition in his first two consecutive seasons.

An honorable mention All-America pick in 2011, Wolf has 101 career points in his first two seasons. He has registered at least one point in all but five career games and has four-plus points in 14 contests. Wolf was last held scoreless in the 2011 NCAA semifinal against Maryland.

Rotanz is having a career year as a part of Duke's top midfield line. He currently ranks third in the league with a career-high 27 goals. His 33 points this season are five more than his total of 28 in 2011. A native of Westport, Conn., Rotanz has four goals in four games this season, including in Duke's win over Syracuse in the Konica Minolta Big City Classic. Rotanz, a 2011 honorable mention All-America selection, has at least one point in 13 of Duke's 14 contests this season and has been held scoreless in just five games in the past two seasons. In 71 career games, Rotanz has 64 goals and 16 assists for 80 points.

Duke, a winner of its ninth ACC regular season title, heads into the ACC Tournament this weekend as the top seed. The Blue Devils will play No. 4 seed Maryland on Friday, April 20 at 5 p.m. The winner advances to the championship game on April 22 at 3:30 p.m. All three tournament games will be televised live by ESPNU.
