DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke baseball team has begun its preparations for the 2013 season, holding its first official practice September 30 followed by the squads annual Scout Day. GoDuke.com caught up with head coach Chris Pollard to discuss the team's progress since returning to campus.

This year's installment of the Blue Devil baseball program returns 27 letterwinners from a season ago, while adding seven newcomers into the mix. Duke opens the 2013 campaign with a three-game series at Florida starting Friday, February 15.
