DURHAM, N.C.-  USA Today released its ALL-USA high school girls basketball team on Wednesday with two future Blue Devils selected to the 15-member squad. Rebecca Greenwell was named to the first team, while Oderah Chidom was selected to the third team.

Greenwell, who is out of Owensboro, Ky., averaged 23.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals a game at Owensboro Catholic H.S., as a senior.  The 6-1 guard was a McDonald’s and WBCA All-America selection this season, while draining a record 17 three-pointers in a game.  Greenwell is rated the No. 4 overall prospect by the Girls Basketball Report and No. 6 by HoopGurlz.

A native of Oakland, Calif., Chidom averaged 14.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game at Bishop O’Dowd H.S., this past season.  She earned Bay Area News Group East Bay Girls Basketball Player of the Year, while playing in both the McDonald’s and WBCA All-America contest.  Chidom was ranked the No. 8 overall recruit in the class by the Girls Basketball Report and No. 10 by HoopGurlz.

On the first team along with Greenwell was Diamond DeShields (UNC), Linnae Harper (Kentucky), Taya Reimer (Notre Dame) and Mercedes Russell (Tennessee).  Makayla Epps (Kentucky), Kailee Johnson (Stanford), Stephanie Mayunga (UNC), Kelsey Plum (Washington) and Tyler Scaife (Rutgers) were named to the second team.  Chidom, Lindsey Allen (Notre Dame), Nia Coffey (Northwestern), Alaina Coates (South Carolina) and Kaela Davis (Georgia Tech) earned third team accolades.

Duke’s four-member recruiting class has been tabbed the No. 2 overall class, which also includes Kendall Cooper and Kianna Holland.
