DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke rowing team will host its annual Row for the Cure event this Friday, Nov. 1, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Duke University’s West Campus quad. The event raises money for breast cancer research in partnership with Komen for the Cure.
The 12-hour Row for the Cure will feature all 70 of the women’s rowing team members performing 60-foot erg shifts throughout the day and will culminate with a team practice from 4-6 p.m. In addition to collecting on-campus donations, the team will also sell “WE ARE DUKE” tank-tops and baked goods.
Duke also accepts donations online at http://www.crowdrise.com/fundraise_and_volunteer/the-team/rowforthecure.
Now in its seventh year of existence, Duke Row for the Cure has raised over $50,000 for breast cancer research and awareness.
