Seventh-ranked Duke (11-5, 2-3 ACC) concludes the regular season Sunday, May 5 in a 12 p.m. meeting with Boston University at Koskinen Stadium … The Terriers own an overall ledger of 6-9 following an 18-17 loss to Cornell Apr. 27 in Ithaca, N.Y. … The Blue Devils’ eight seniors will be honored at the conclusion of the game.

BU Series History
Sunday’s contest marks just the second all-time meeting between Duke and Boston University with the Blue Devils ahead, 1-0, in the series ... The two teams will square off for the first time since 2010.

Last Time We Met
The two squads last met in Durham March 10, 2010 with Duke posting a 10-6 victory over the Terriers ... The class includes goalkeeper Kaitlin Gaiss (North Andover, Mass.), defender Mie Graham (Princeton, N.J.), attacker Makenzie Hommel (Setauket, N.Y.), attacker Caroline Keating (Gladwyne, Pa.), defender Sarah Kendrick (Lawrenceville, N.J.), defender Lauren Martin (Weston, Mass.), attacker Alyssa Ogle (Moorestown, N.J.) and midfielder Maddie Salamone (Bel Air, Md.) ... The group has guided the Blue Devils to 52 victories over their four seasons while leading the program to two national quarterfinals appearances and one trip to the national semifinals.

Tewaaraton Nominee List Released
Sophomore attacker Kerrin Maurer and junior defender Taylor Virden are among the 25 players who have been selected as nominees for the 2013 Tewaaraton Award, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation Apr. 26 ... Both appear on the list for the first time in their careers ... The Blue Devils have one Tewaaraton winner in program history as Katie Chrest claimed the honor following the 2005 season.

Hommel Named to All-Tournament Team
Senior attacker Makenzie Hommel was one of 12 players selected to the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Tournament team Apr. 28 at the conclusion of the championship game ... Hommel paced the Blue Devil attack with four points (3g, 1a) in a quarterfinal loss to Virginia, collecting her ninth hat trick of the season ... An All-ACC pick this spring, Hommel leads Duke in scoring with 44 goals in 16 games.

Duke in the ACC Tournament

Duryea Maturing Quickly in the Cage
Freshman Kelsey Duryea has been solid in the net since making her first appearance in the second half against Maryland on Feb. 24 ... Duryea has started all 11 contests since then, ranking fourth nationally in save percentage and eighth in saves per game ... The Beverly, Mass., native was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this spring on Apr. 23 following a pair of wins against Davidson and Ohio State ... Duryea recorded a season-high 15 stops against North Carolina on March 28, making her one of just four netminders in program history to notch 15 or more saves in a game.

Six Blue Devil freshmen have seen the field this season with Maddy Acton, Kelsey Duryea and Kelci Smesko entering the starting lineup ... Senior Makenzie Hommel and sophomore Kerrin Maurer have both started the 2013 season in strong fashion ... Hommel has registered a team-high 44 goals to go with 10 assists for a total of 54 points, while Maurer owns 28 goals and leads the team in assists (27) and points (55) ... Hommel surpassed the 100-point mark for her career with a two-goal performance against Boston College (Apr. 6) ...
