Trimble Added to Tewaaraton Watch List
Junior Taylor Trimble was added to the 2014 Tewaaraton Award Watch List presented by Panama Jack Apr. 10, joining teammates Kelsey Duryea, Kerrin Maurer and Taylor Virden among this year’s Tewaaraton hopefuls … A midfielder from Rosemont, Pa., Trimble ranks second on the team in goals (28), third in draw controls (28) and is tied for third in points (34) through 14 games this season.

Maurer Quarterbacking the Offense
Junior attacker Kerrin Maurer is once again one of the Blue Devils’ most dependable playmakers up front ... She leads the team this spring in points (68), goals (44) and assists (24) and ranks second in draw controls (48) ... The Setauket, N.Y., native ranked second in the ACC and fifth nationally in points per game entering the week ... Maurer was also third in the conference in scoring at 3.14 goals per game and ranked ninth nationally in goals.

Virden Quick on the Draw
Duke is 6-3 this spring when winning the draw controls category ... Senior defender Taylor Virden has been scrappy on the wings, leading the team with 54 draw controls ... She ranked sixth in the ACC in draws entering the week ... Virden won a career-high six draws last season against Vanderbilt (March 2, 2013) and matched that total with six against Virginia (March 22) ...
