Prior to Duke: Ran one season at Middlebury College (Vt.) before transferring to Duke...earned All-New England and all-conference honors in cross country at Middlebury...also named the NESCAC's Rookie of the Year...finished 40th at the NCAA Div. III Cross Country Championships while helping the Panthers capture its sixth NCAA Championship...lettered four years at Voorhees... led her cross country team to two state championships during her prep career...twice named the Star Ledger's West Jersey Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year...county champion in cross country as a senior...earned All-American status in the distance medley relay at the 2009 Nike Indoor Nationals...won conference, sectional and group championships in the outdoor 3,200m as a senior...also lettered two years in swimming...named a Wendy's High School Heisman nominee...member of the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society...named to the high honor roll.

Personal: Daughter of William Whitney and Carol Cote...born Sept. 27, 1991...has one brother, Robert, and one sister, Noella.
