DURHAM, N.C. - Freshmen Juliet Bottorff and Sophia Ziemian will represent the United States at the 38th IAAF World Cross Country Championships at Myslecink Park in Bydgoszcz, Poland this Sunday, March 28. The Blue Devil pair is set to compete in the junior women's race, scheduled for 12 p.m. (6 a.m. EST).

Bottorff and Ziemian, both standouts for the Duke cross country squad this past fall, earned spots on the U.S. National Team after placing in the top-6 at the USATF Junior Cross Country Championships held in Spokane, Wash., on Feb. 13. Bottorff, an all-conference, all-region and ACC Freshman of the Year honoree with Duke, finished the 6K race in third with a 20:32 clocking, while Lewisburg, Pa., native Ziemian came in sixth after a 20:49 showing.

The Duke rookies will be joined by USA Cross Country champion Shelby Greany from Providence College, Emily Sisson, a high school senior from Chesterfield, Mo., Emily Jones from Georgetown University and Laura Tremblay from the University of Colorado.
